CC SORVA announces construction work commencing on Trail C (RR Grade from the Soo to Brimley) as part of a $100,000 trail improvement project for 2022, Certain sections of the trail between 5 mile road and Deland Road (just east of Brimley) will be intermittently closed to accommodate construction including berm removal, ditching, and slag stone placement. If you rode these areas this spring, you experienced deep rutting and rough trail.The construction will start Monday June 12 and continue up to June 24. The sections of trail are basically east and west of where the trail crosses 6 mile. The total distance of trail work is two miles.The trail will be open Saturday and Sunday every weekend. The exact days of which section are to be closed are weather and construction completion dependent. Use caution if you are traveling in those areas until the final work is completed. The gates will be blocked by orange construction fence and noted with “Trail Closed” signs. Detour around the construction by riding along 6 mile.
