Can’t Ride To Tahquamenon Falls

🚨 ORV & ATV USERS – PLEASE READ! 🚨

Luce County ORV/ATV Route Reminder

We’re seeing an increase in riders attempting to access the Tahquamenon Falls via State Highway M-123. Please be aware:

❌ It is ILLEGAL to operate ORVs or ATVs on state highways in Luce County,

with ONLY ONE EXCEPTION:

✅ The designated “L Route” on the north side of Newberry, which extends for 3 miles ONLY.

📍 There is NO legal ORV/ATV access or routes to the Upper or Lower Tahquamenon Falls.

➡️ M-123 and M-28 are state highway’s — riding ORVs or ATVs on it is NOT permitted.( Except the 3 mile section north of Newberry operating the very right of the gravel shoulder at a maximum 25 mph speed limit )

⚠️ Violators may be ticketed or face enforcement action. These laws are in place for public safety and environmental protection.

📌 If you’re planning to ride in Luce County, please stick to designated legal routes, roads and trails.
